(1-25 of 27)Avoid! Not Recommended
- N/A
- Better communication with clients.
- Responding to clients needs.
- Acknowledging when they are in the wrong.
Misleading and just wants your money, empty promises
- Nothing, they get you to click on things that won't affect your budget only to find out it does from my experience.
- Transparency and clearly explaining how your daily budget works.
- Importing from Google Ads
- Running basic campaigns
- Fast support
- The service is stuck in a bunch of technical problems that they haven't been able to solve for a long time - for example, the username of an account or to delete an account completely. In Google Ads, it's not a big issue, but here I lost dozens of hours talking with useless support
- Their support reps don't have any power to solve any of the technical problems you may encounter, they just explain to you why you don't need any of the bugged features
- Manager accounts are also implemented terribly creating more mess for their accounts
- The system periodically locks your account/s and asks for verification. Hello "Usage limit exceeded. Try again tomorrow." when you can't access your account for hours
Great alternative to Google Ads!
- Importing our Google Ads campaign was really easy and went very smoothly. I was worried we would have to engage a third party to set this up but I was able to do it myself without any issues.
- Cost per click is significantly lower than Google Ads.
- Works pretty well with Google Analytics to track performance.
- I wish their support team would be more proactive in reaching out to clients to make recommendations and improvements. Anytime we want to talk to them about improvements to our campaign we have to get in touch with them and set up a meeting.
- I would also like to see support for video ads from them.
- More promos. With Google Ads, I get regular promotions that give me a small discount on my ad spends. Microsoft needs to do this.
- Microsoft Advertising supports ads, on social sites mostly.
- The tool incorporates campaign management.
- Lastly, Microsoft Advertising supports paid search optimization, for SEO or high ranking.
- Microsoft Advertising speed is low and time consuming.
- Microsoft Advertising is rigid in content import or export.
- The tool is inflexible and hard to configure.
Sustainable Marketing Program for Businesses
- Microsoft Advertising is the sole marketing alternative that makes us reach audiences that we want.
- Furthermore, Microsoft Advertising offers us a strategic plan concerning the mechanisms we should employ to acquire a marketing competitive advantage.
- Finally, Microsoft Advertising brings diverse customers who get trust from the adverts the software offers to us.
- Microsoft Advertising is a software with procedures and steps, and unless one follows them well, they may miss the point.
- Microsoft Advertising is pricey and demanding in support of installation and regular maintenance.
- Lastly, I still find the chat box or help desk still slow in their operations.
Don't sleep on Microsoft Ads!
- strong CPC performance
- ease of set up and UI structure
- Setting up pixels and audiences is very simple
- Bing is usually one step behind Googles updates
- scale is much lower than its competitor
- not as many bid automation options available
Bing Ads Review
- Customer service with reps
- Easy to use UI and editor
- Easy import tool
- Click to call campaigns
- UI is a little dull currently
- Bid modifiers for day-parting and location in separate tab than general settings
Worth Considering for Paid Search
- Easy to set up ad campaigns - overall it is easy to create campaigns on the Bing Ads platform.
- Analytics - Bing Ads sends proactive reports that make it easy to identify opportunities to improve.
- Excellent value - Bing Ads search offers a lower price-point on specific keywords compared to other search platforms.
- Low volume - for our industry, Bing Ads has a lower monthly search volume compared to other search engines.
- Not as flexible - in certain instances, the tool is not as flexible, such as with ad extensions.
Bing Ads (Microsoft Ads) is Small but Mighty
- More cost-effective inventory than Google Ads.
- Image ad extensions (not available in Google Ads, but very cool & effective feature for our more visually-branded clients).
- LinkedIn audience targeting integrations.
- Bing's ad platform could definitely use some improvements - it hasn't been updated in a long time, and it feels very outdated.
- We feel that the optimization algorithms don't always perform as well for Bing Ads as they do in Google Ads (optimize for conversions, etc.).
- It would be great to have even more integrations with LinkedIn audience targeting offered - right now, you can just make some bid optimizations in a couple of areas; we'd really like to get more robust options there, and maybe even things like cross-platform tracking.
Google Ads Import is Da Real MVP in Bing Ads
- Single handedly the best thing about Bing Ads is being able to import your Google Ads account directly into the platform. Without this and Bing Ads highlighting this, they wouldn't have many advertisers.
- Another nice perk of Bing Ads is their free credit when you sign up. Getting a $100 is nice and you don't have to spend $100 to get the $100, they just give it to you right away.
- Very similar to Google Ads, making the learning curve extremely small.
- The UI/UX could use a lot of work. It looks worse than the old Google Ads UI/UX and is a lot slower loading.
- One of the other draw backs of Bing Ads is their limited search inventory, which drives up CPCs, CPAs, etc.
- Most Bing users are an older generation because they use PCs or it's their work computer and these individuals aren't as comfortable / likely to checkout online. As a result, it's hard to drive a lot of conversions because of this adoption curve.
Ding Ding - Bing's Not As Good As Google
- Google Ads integration.
- Free $100 credit to get started.
- Much lower search volume.
- less friendly UI/UX than Google Ads.
- Older, less tech-savvy demographic searching (at least a con for my business).
Great Secondary Platform for Search Marketers
- For the most part the UI mimics Google Ads, so there's not much of a learning curve
- With the right campaign structure and targeting, we can see great ROI, sometimes even exceeding that of Google Ads
- Direct and automated imports from Google Ads makes it easy to get a campaign up and running
- Search volume is much lower than what you see on Google
- Though the UET tracking codes are supposed to make tracking implementation simpler, I find it a bit more confusing than Google's implementation
- They tend to focus more on feature parity with Google, rather than creating compelling differentiators
A Decent Way To Fill The SEM Gap
- Easy to set up ads. The process of creating text ads is very similar to Google and can be done in just a few minutes without a lot of prior SEM knowledge.
- Easy to understand analytics suite. All the data we need for deciding if a campaign is successful is easily accessible.
- Bing is always giving suggestions on how to improve your ads, which are actually rather helpful rather than gimmicky or just trying to increase your budget. The Keyword suggestions are particularly helpful.
- Tracking is not supported on a lot of backend platforms. We have had quite a few issues getting the tracking set up because there's no simple way of adding the code to Shopify and Recurly (our two purchasing platforms).
- Support is mostly just sales in disguise. We've never had much luck getting hold of a support tech who can help us with issues, instead the conversations I've had always ended with "spend more money with us."
- The analytics suite is not quite as appealing or user-friendly as Google's. It takes a bit more searching to find all the custom analytics you may need.
- Unfortunately Bing is just not as popular a platform, so campaign traffic and ROI tends to be lower than when we use other SEM and paid marketing solutions (Google, Facebook, Reddit, etc...).
Bing Ads - An efficient use of your PPC dollars
Bing Ads simply does NOT have the scale that Google Ads has, with many less searches coming in daily. As for ease of use, Bing has some slight quirks that make it just a little harder to work with than Google. Nothing that should keep you from using it, but it's usually a supplement to Google than a replacement, or sole avenue for PPC spend.
- Cheaper
- More Efficient
- Easy sync with Google Ads to find a new audience for PPC
- Quicker interface
- Easier addition of negative keywords
- Find scale where possible
BingAds - the second engine to advertise on
- The strength is that it can be integrated with big data management platforms like DoubleClick and Marin Software.
- It's very easy to set up.
- It's cheaper than AdWords.
- Since they changed their policy for competitors to bid on other brand terms, brand CPCs became significantly higher, which impacts negatively overall performance and ROI.
- Shopping campaigns are not easy to set up, there are always issues. I personally never made it to see them working on any client have been managing.
- Lack of support on the side of Bing, in most cases they can't find a solution to any problem.
Boom! Bing Ads
- Bing skews towards an older demographic which helps for certain products to target
- Can sometimes warrant a cheaper cost per click across specific search terms
- Using Bing in combination with Google gives advertisers coverage across the two prioritized search engines
- Bing ads editor is very clunky. You cannot select more than one campaign to view multiple campaigns and make changes more easily.
- Bing typically takes longer to accommodate the changes and updates that Google rolls out. Whether it is for ad extensions or relative to the URL update...it always is delayed longer than anticipated.
- Bing ads limits you to 2500 zip codes which can be problematic if you have more.
- Bing ads UET tag is somewhat confusing to follow
Bing Ads vs AdWords - Do they play nice with each other?
- On average we see a lower cost per conversion vs AdWords.
- They offer an easy-to-use tool to import already proven campaigns from AdWords to Bing Ads.
- The ability to integrate data directly into Excel is convenient.
- The import tool from AdWords allows for errors within campaign settings.
- Users should be advised to carefully review settings before going live as some campaigns may be optimized for clicks when they were optimized for conversions in AdWords.
- Calculated cost per conversion does not have the same visibility as AdWords and requires more careful analysis.
- Significantly lower volume of traffic can be expected compared to similar campaigns in AdWords.
Bing Ads Review
- Reach - Bing in the UK accounts for 23% of the market
- In some cases, cheaper CPC nad lower CPA with a better ROAS
- How they have made the set up straightforward by mirroring your AdWords account
- Look at areas Google is not covering, Bing has always been 5 years behind AdWords its time to be different
- Bing Analytics - but don't copy Google Analytics, look at areas they are not doing and capitalise on this
- Audience target - As the future is all about targeted ads what is Bing doing on this front?
Still yet-to-be-won-over Bing Ads user
Bada Bing! The review
- Easy to reach, always answer the phone
- Provides the service consistently
- Decent conversion rate for clients, better than other shopping engines
- Needs to have better trained staff members in their own products
- Needs easier Interface, process for adding data feeds and seeing errors is clunky
- Bing needs a shopping interface instead of just SERP placement
Bing Ads Adds Up To Online Marketing Success
- The Bing interface is easy to navigate & understand - it is simple, clean & does not have too many confusing 'extras' thrown in.
- The ability to transfer full campaigns from other sources is a welcome & time saving benefit provided by Bing.
- Ad Extensions are very easy to work with within the Bing interface (specifically the location interface) as opposed to some other online advertising services.
- Having to click into the account several levels can be time consuming and confusing when wanting to be at the campaign level in order to see daily budget numbers.
- Importing campaigns over from other online advertising services can cause hiccups within the Bing interface, making the process more time consuming. Having to go back and correct mistakes that did not carry over can be frustrating (location settings, ad urls, campaign names, etc).
Great tool with excellent support from customer service reps!
- The Editor tool is user friendly and allows for mass changes to be made in bulk, which saves a lot of time.
- I like large selection of reports available to us and the many ways to cut and dice the data prior to exporting.
- The alerts that pop up at the top for either program opportunities or errors. These are helpful especially on larger programs.
- It would be great to have more insight into the "bing network search partners". With the majority of search partner traffic coming from there, it would be helpful to understand those partners better.
- I'd like to see more options in updating shared keyword lists in the editor tool. Adding and removing campaigns in this view would be helpful.
Bing Ads Review
- It is easy to create and set up an account
- It is easy to see clicks, impressions and cost
- Offers a good amount of extensions
- The dot pixel makes it difficult to track actual conversions for accounts with multiple accounts under the MCC
- Not much action from the app extension feature
- You have to pull a report for a lot of things that you would like to see
A cantankerous review of an opinionated user
- Simplicity
- Reporting
- Excellent ROI on some campaigns (usually in languages other than English)
- No picture ads
